Safari Sea at the Clubhouse
The Safari Sea is a Var region the size of nine standard sims, each one is a parcel with the name of a real sea (from 'Adriatic' top left to 'Weddell' bottom right) just to make it a little easier to navigate. It is deliberately left as an almost asset-free area that does not weigh on the more complex contiguous regions.
It lies at the heart of the visitable part of HG Safari grid, providing access via flying or sailing to Mumble, which is to the west, Art and Cornflakes Tribute, which are to the north, HG Safari region where the clubhouse is located, to the east, and HIE region to the south, the home of the Hypergrid International Expo and the Inworld Review studio.
Most visitors to the clubhouse tend to be focused on the next HG Safari trip, and so may not be aware of the Safari Sea unless they have time to notice the large sailing ship the Aime Socrate and the lightouse just off the clubhouse region. The three-masted schooner was a gift from educator, early resident of Opensim, and long time Safari regular Aime Socrate. Click on it and you should be able to take a tour around the island on a piece of Safari history.

If you visit the region using just the name of the grid and no coordinates, you will arrive in a small adobe house, just a placholder, at 128,128 and from there you have a good view of the HIE island to the south, and you can also walk down the sand bar to the north to reach Mumble.
Shark Island
In the middle of the Safari Sea there is a teleport point. It is located on an island terraformed in the shape of a shark, just for fun, hence 'Shark Island'. Dotted around the edge of the sea are various landmarks, like piers and lighthouses, to make it a little easier to see where the other regions are located - this is particularly handy if you are traveling by boat or air across such a large expanse of featureless water.
