• How can I open the Mumble Client App?
  It can be activated in-world by navigating to the link privately sent to your avatar or by visiting this page.
  With Bianconiglio: you must open Mumble Client App directly via the Bianconiglio HUD by pressing a button. If Mumble Client App was already open, please close it before pressing the button in Bianconiglio.
  

• How do I close the Mumble Client App?
  Close the window of the Mumble Client App and confirm you want close it. You will be disconnected from the HG MumbleVoice server.
  With Bianconiglio: you close the Mumble Client App directly via the HUD by pressing a button. If the Mumble Client App had been open separately, please close it as described above.
  

• If I have already installed the Mumble Client App, can I use it with Bianconiglio too?
  Yes you can. To proceed you must install the Mumble plugin for Bianconiglio. This plugin will remain silent when you use your Mumble Client App for other uses.
  

• I don't know if I'm in Public or in Conference voice, how can I find out?
  Just right click on your name and select 'My voice status'. You will receive a private messege in Chat.
  With Bianconiglio: you can click the specific button.
  

• How can I monitor who can hear me?
  You can activate the Mumble graphical overlay on the Viewer window. The list of the names of who can hear you will appear.
  With Bianconiglio: you can look at the list of who can hear you.
  

• Could someone intecepts and listen to my conversation?
  No, voice streaming is encrypted.
  

• Could someone intecept and read the text messages on Mumble chat?
  No, text messages are encrypted.
  

• Could someone intecept my IP address and location when I am on Mumble voice?
  No, only the HG Safari Mumble server knows your IP address.
  

• Can I use MumbleVoice on another PC?
  Yes, but you must export your Mumble Authentication Certificate file from your PC and then import it onto the other PC. If you skip this step, you will not able to use voice with your avatar name on that other PC. If your PC is broken, contact the grid administrator to reset your voice account. After this step, you must follow the registration procedure again. This protects the safety of your voice account.
  

• Do I need to register all my avatars, created on different grids, for example John.Snow@OSgrid and John.Snow@MyGrid?
  No, the voice registration is for the name of your avatar, the grid doesn't matter.
  

• Can I have multiple Mumble Client Apps open?
  No, the Mumble Authentication Certificate is associated with your avatar name with a single account.
  

• Can I use HG MumbleVoice when I am not inworld?
  No, you can only use HG MumbleVoice when your avatar is inworld.
  

• Can I use HG MumbleVoice when my avatar is on grids other than HG Safari?
  Sorry no. The Mumble server consumes resources of the HG Safari Grid, so HG MumbleVoice can be used only when your avatar is in HG Safari Grid.
  

• Could my voice be recorded by someone using HG MumbleVoice?
  No, the recording feature provided by Mumble has been disabled.

• Is Public voice one channel for all regions and parcels?
  No, each parcel of each region has its own voice channel.
  

• When I add/remove/modify the parcel in a region, should I manually change a configuration or something in HG MumbleVoice too?
  No, HG MumbleVoice dynamically adapts to the parcels of the region.
  

• Can a person hear me if they are not on the same parcel?
  No, only people on the same parcel can hear you.
  

• Is voice volume affected by distance?
  Not when you are using just the Mumble Client App. Spatial voice is an advanced feature, that is available using Biaconiglio.
  With Bianconiglio: Yes, voice volume depends on distance and it is possible to select if this is related to the avatar or camera position, just like Vivox.
  

• Are my lips moving when I'm talking in Public voice?
  No. This is an advanced feature available with Bianconiglio.
  With Bianconiglio: Yes, your lips move when you talk. unlike Vivox, Bianconiglio allows lip movement regardless of whether your avatar is legacy or mesh. Advanced lip animation, with more expressions, can be configured only for mesh avatars.
  

• When I enter a parcel, are the other people in public voice notified?
  No, by public voice we assume that everyone in the same parcel knows their conversation is not private. If you enabled the overlay list in Mumble, you can see who can hear you.
  With Bianconiglio: you can see the list of who can hear you.

• Are my lips moving when I'm talking in a Conference call?
  No, they don't move.
  

• How do I start a Conference with some friends?
  Just right click on the name of each friend and select 'Start/join a call'.
  With Bianconiglio: select their names on the list (containing the profile picture and text) and then press 'Call' button one time.
  

• How will I know if my Conference call has been processed by the system?
  You will receive a private message inworld Chat that informs you that you invited someone.
  With Bianconiglio: you will also hear a specific sound.
  

• How will I know if my Conference call failed?
  After 60 seconds, you will get a private message inworld Chat that informs you.
  With Bianconiglio: you will also hear a specific sound.
  

• How will I be notified if someone has invited me to a Conference call?
  You will get a private message in inworld Chat that informs you who invited you.
  With Bianconiglio: you also receive a sound, and the person's name on the list (containing the profile picture and text) will appear highlighted.
  

• How can I join a Conference call?
  Right click on your name and select 'Start/join a call'.
  With Bianconiglio: select the person's name on the list containing the profile picture and text and then press 'Call/join' button.
  

• How can I refuse a Conference call?
  Right click on the name of who sent you the invitation and select 'Stop/leave a call'. You can also ignore the invitation. After 60 seconds it will automatically be rejected. In both cases the person who sent you the invitation will receive the same generic message.
  With Bianconiglio: either ignore the call or select the person's name on the list (containing the profile picture and text) and then press 'Reject' button.
  

• You are in a Conference call, how do you invite someone else to join the call?
  Right click on his/her name and select 'Start/join a call'.
  With Bianconiglio: select the person's name on the list (containing the profile picture and text) and then press 'Call' button.
  

• How do I leave a Conference call?
  Right click on your name and select 'Stop/leave a call', you will immediately rejoin the Public voice in the parcel where you are located.
  With Bianconiglio: you can directly click the button on the mini-HUD.
  

• When I join or leave a Conference call, are the other partecipants notified?
  Yes, they will receive a message in Chat saying that you have joined the call or you left it. This is to protect the partecipants.
  With Bianconiglio: they will also hear a specific sound when you enter or leave the Conference call.
  

• If my avatar is inworld and in HG Safari Grid, and I open a Conference call and then I teleport on another grid, does my conference call continue?
  Not at the moment. We will evaluate this possibility in the future.
