Welcome to HG Safari Grid! This page gives information about how to use Mumble in Opensim on our grid.

Mumble is an excellent alternative to Vivox voice currently the default method of speaking with others in Opensim Viewers.

HG Safari Grid is currently experimenting with Solution 2. We look forward to a more powerful solution integrated in Bianconiglio.

Several steps are required for you to join HG MumbleVoice - this is for your safety/privacy.
Here's how to register for the HG MumbleVoice the first time:

1) download and install Mumble Client App
2) login with your avatar from any grid and then teleport to Mumble region
3) when you arrive, you will immediately get a message in Chat that will give you a link to this page
Note: you must be inworld for this to work and keep this webpage open!
4) your Mumble Client App should be automatically open on the HG Safari Mumble server
5) in Chat inworld, you should now receive a 5-digit 'magic code'. Only you can see this message
6) copy this magic code from the Viewer and paste it in the Mumble Client App chat and presse Enter
Note: you have 2 minutes to copy-paste the magic number.
7) inworld, you will get a message in Chat to let you know you are a registered user, but there is one more step
8) press again on the 'Restore Mumble client' button on this page
9) now you are in and you will not have to repeat all the above steps!
